AUGUST 20: General Meeting - speaker req'd.
August 28th THURSDAY:. Visit RAF Linton on Ouse.
max 20 tour start at 13.40 hrs (air trafic control)

September 24th: Visit RAF WADDINGTON.
Lunch in SGTs Mess (bar will be open).
OCTOBER 1st: Visit to Humber Bridge.
Tour and presentation by Bridge Master, 14.00 hrs.
October 15th: Meeting.

Sutton Coldfield, North Midlads.
The inaugural lunchtime meeting held on Wednesday 20 February attracted some 40 people inclusive of a few wives and I thank those of you who attended. The meeting and luncheon were well received.
There was resounding support for the formation of a Sutton Coldfield / North Birmingham Group , Wednesday being the preferred day with the venue for the next meeting being the Plough & Harrow Hostelry, Slade Road, Roughley. on Wednesday 2nd July, assembling 11 - 11.30 with lunch served from noon onwards.
Ron Read, who organised this event, welcomed those present and opened the meeting by outlining various events run by the National Association (extended weekend packages around the country, visit etc). Percy Woodhouse, Publicity Officer and member of the Executive Committee, further elaborated on the various National events which the association is involved during 2008 - Cosford Parade, Westminster Abbey Service of Remembrance, November 11 Cenotaph Parade etc.
Ron has invited a WW11 pilot to be the guest speaker on this occasion, who (we hope) will tell us about some of his experiences.
Partners are welcome to attend as is the wearing of insignia etc.
If you know of other ex RAF personnel (NS, Regular, WAAF/WRAF, irrespective if they are current members of our association) who might be interested, please pass on the details of this meeting/luncheon and ask them to contact Ron direct.
As it will be essential to let the hostelry have knowledge of numbers/selections Ron asks that you to call him and leave details of your meal requirements and then please send cheque for £5 each made payable to Mr R Read and he will settle total food account.
